Toledo GROWs

A nonprofit organization

Toledo GROWs - Gardens Revitalize Our World - educates our community about the value of local nutritious food. Our active urban farm and support for community gardens promote healthy eating and promote a region alive with gardens.

Since its creation in 1995, the organization has grown to include 105 community gardens and an urban farm in downtown Toledo. The farm offers a variety of educational features, including the Robert J. Anderson Urban Agriculture Center, hoop houses, a greenhouse, chickens, bees, a teaching kitchen, and a variety of garden beds to demonstrate and teach sustainable practices in growing produce. It serves as home base for Toledo GROWs' work with community gardens, including technical assistance, free seeds and seedlings, education, loan of tools, and assistance with volunteers. People of all ages come to the farm to learn through educational programs and field trips, as well as through hands-on learning as they volunteer.

Visit Toledo GROWs to witness how an urban farm can transform a city neighborhood.
