This is Dinosaur stopped a dam in Dinosaur National Monument. Silent Spring sparked the modern environmental movement back in 1960. Testimony influenced the creation of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in 1996. And just last year, Red Rock Testimony from Torrey House Press helped bolster the case for protecting sacred landscapes of Bears Ears National Monument. With your help, Torrey House Press can continue publishing books that inspire wonder and motivate change.

As pressures mount to develop America's remaining wild places, Torrey House Press brings you the stories that help awaken our connection with birdsong, coyote calls, trout-filled streams, starry night skies. Without story to show what's at stake, places like Bears Ears and Dinosaur and so many others could be lost to industrialization forever. Your donation to Torrey House Press supports the only nonprofit literary press in the intermountain West and the only literary press focusing on conservation.

Join us during Love Utah-Give Utah to fund public events with authors of Edge of Morning: Native Voices Speak for the Bears Ears, final production of Red Rock Stories: Three Generations of Writers Speak of Behalf of Utah's Public Lands, and books for tribal and conservation leaders.

”EDGE OF MORNING will...invigorate the public policy details of environmental issues and natural conservation with new voices that not only inspire emotionally but also lay out the significant cultural case that compels a new point of view about the stewardship of public lands.” —THE UTAH REVIEW

“This anthology seeks to tell stories by native writers about the Bears Ears and its importance. Storytelling is a way of making sure the importance of the land is known, and can help spread awareness...a worthy project.” —THE SEATTLE REVIEW OF BOOKS

"The writers in RED ROCK STORIES capture that connection in essays and poems that run as deep as the canyons of the Colorado River.” —Robert Redford

Thank you for your support as we increase appreciation for our natural landscapes through the power of pen and story!
