Total Family Care Coalition

The Total Family Care Coalition (TFCC) is a family run,non-profit, 501(c)3 organization and the leading provider of family advocacy and support to parents of children and youth with serious emotional disturbances for the District of Columbia.

TFCC is the leader in supporting the voice of youth with serious emotional disturbances in advocating for their own care plans. TFCC's mission statement, "To Keep Families Together For a Better Community" was crafted by family and youth participants to closely align with SAMHSA’s Recovery Support Strategic Initiative as well as wraparound principles, the National Federation of Families’ philosophy to ensure families and youths receives services to meet their needs and TFCC’s commitment to empower families and youth.  TFCC is designated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) as the family leader in system transformation.

We have made tremendous strives in the District of Columbia by helping over 500 families and 1100 youths.  We are a full service organization located in a public housing dwelling.  Our location affords us the the opportunity to be at the hearbeat of the community.  We serve those who others forget. 

Our reward is a smile from a mom who can see her 7 year old daughter after being deprived for two years.  Or see tears of joy from a mother of 10 who was facing termination of parental rights reunite with her children.

We understand families every day challenges, especially when you are parenting a child with mental health issues.  We want you to know you are not alone!

We don't blame or shame but partner with families and youths by providing them with peer support services to help them over stumbling blocks to sustain a better quality of life.
