Transmission Ministry Collective

If you’re a person of faith and compassion witnessing this political moment, you’ve likely been asking “how can I help?” You know your trans siblings are facing an all-out assault on our rights, dignity, safety, and well-being, and that many voices within the church are leading that assault.

With the story of Christian transphobia continuing to dominate the news cycle, Christians have a particular responsibility to be in vocal and material solidarity with their trans siblings. As the only organization with a national reach that is specifically by and for transgender people in Christian contexts, Transmission Ministry Collective is asking for your help right now. We’re going to see an exponential growth in need, which will require an exponential increase in response from those who care about the survival of their trans kin.

This month, we’re inviting you to tell a different story with us. A story of gender-expansiveness as a gift to the church and world. A story of people whose faith calls them, not into bigotry and violence, but into solidarity and collective care. 

Our goal is to raise $12,000 by December 31st to sustain our critical programs in the new year. With you, we can continue to offer support groups where trans people find safety, healing, and connection on their faith and gender journeys. We can offer more learning opportunities for churches seeking to better welcome and include trans community members. We can expand our mutual aid program, to assist trans folks in meeting their material needs.

Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing individual stories from trans and gender-expansive community members, as they boldly share how the truth of who they are reflects the divine image of God. Transmission Ministry Collective exists to build spaces where those stories can continue to be told, and where all of us can share in the telling.
