Treehouse Childrens Museum

Treehouse Museum is celebrating 25 years of inviting families and schools to "Step into a Story"® in 2017. Your donation of $25 or more will help us provide access to our unique, hand-crafted exhibits and our award-winning programs with the Treehouse focus on stories, the arts, and imaginative play. More than 175,000 visitors, including 23,000 school children and chaperones from all over Northern Utah and beyond, attend Treehouse annually.

Treehouse is known for its programming that involves children as both performers and audience in the Simmons Storybook Theater. The Art Garden at Treehouse is where the visual arts bloom. Treehouse provides trained staff and volunteers, who are ages 12 and up, to facilitate these interactions and make the learning even more meaningful and welcomes guest artists and performers throughout the year.

Treehouse staff and Board work hard to provide access to children for whom even a modest admission might be a barrier to visiting the Museum regularly. More than 400 sponsored memberships are distributed annually to families with children enrolled in Head Start programs in Northern Utah and more than 11,000 visitors are welcomed on Weber County RAMP days in the summer months and through the Blue Star Museum program that Treehouse supports through free admission for families of active duty military personnel from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Treehouse is also very involved in helping parents ensure their children are ready for school. The Museum's "Get Ready for Kindergarten with Miss Bindergarten" provides high quality materials to every child in Northern Utah who registers for Kindergarten so their parent can help them master the skills they need to be confident and prepared as they start school. 14,500 sets of materials have been distributed through nine districts for the last four years. This huge effort benefits parents, children, teachers, schools, and the community and Treehouse is proud to be involved in this important work.
