Trellis's Mission:  Trellis uses the power of gardening and nature to enrich the lives of people living with disabilities.

Who We Serve: Trellis is the only nonprofit in the Atlanta area with the primary mission of delivering garden therapy programs for adults rebuilding their lives after stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and similar neurological conditions.

What We Do:  Our garden therapy programs are rooted in the practice of horticultural therapy.  Trellis operates the Ability Garden program, a fully wheelchair-accessible teaching garden located in Decatur, GA at Legacy Park.  Legacy Park is a 70-acre hidden gem owned by the City of Decatur. At the Ability Garden, Trellis uses gardening, horticulture and nature to provide purpose, foster healing, promote independence and build vital social connections for adults with disabilities. Trellis believes that everyone should be provided an equal opportunity to participate in outdoor activities that promote good health and wellbeing.

View our new video below that highlights the importance and impact of the Ability Garden at Legacy Park.  We hope you will see the benefits and commit to supporting the Ability Garden programs to make someone's else's life a little brighter.
