TUACAHN CENTER FOR THE ARTS ENRICHES AND CHANGES LIVES!

National research studies share the life-long benefits of participating in the arts – as a performer or as an audience member.  Younger people do better in school and go further with their education, helping them be more prepared for the future. Older participants enjoy healthier, more fulfilling
lives and contribute more to society.

Tuacahn Center for the Arts provides audiences with professional, family friendly entertainment through its annual musical productions.  Tuacahn’s 2,000 seat amphitheatre is
surrounded by majestic red-rock cliffs towering one thousand feet overhead.  This spectacular setting allows Tuacahn to
present productions using unique special effects and features audiences will not see anywhere else in the world.

During its 18 year history, Tuacahn has grown from presenting one annual show to a 2013 schedule which includes five professional Broadway caliber productions along
with 15 concerts featuring artists known around the world.

During 2012 more than 265,000 guests attended a production or concert at Tuacahn, with audiences coming from all 50 United States and 36 other countries.  Tuacahn continues to grow as audiences select from a diverse variety of culturally enriching opportunities.

Tuacahn also operates Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, a public charter school for grades nine through 12.  THS was the first charter school in the State of Utah. The school provides a college-preparatory education with students receiving additional, specialized instruction in a specific arts academy – Music (vocal and instrumental), Dance, Art, Musical Theatre, or Theatre Tech.  The 360 students attending THS benefit from smaller class sizes, resulting in more individualized instruction. Tuacahn High
School students achieve some of the highest test scores in the State.  The graduation rate and percentage of students continuing their post-high school education are higher than other schools in the region.

Tuacahn needs your financial help.  Each year Tuacahn
collects more than 90% of its operating budget through ticket sales, leaving more than $600,000 to be raised through donations.  Tuacahn is also raising $2.6 million for a new Tuacahn Arts Center which will provide urgently needed new facilities so Tuacahn can increase its educational and culturally enriching programs.

Please help Tuacahn continue to enrich and change lives.
Your generous contribution will touch the lives of hundreds of thousands each year and is critical to Tuacahn’s ongoing success.
