Tubac Center of the Arts represents Tubac's artistic heritage and identity. We pursue excellence in serving as a venue for artistic expression, appreciation and learning for those who create and enjoy art in southern Arizona.

Why are the Arts Important?

The arts bring us joy, help us express our values, and build bridges between cultures. The arts are also a fundamental component of a healthy community-strengthening them socially, educationally, and economically-benefits that persist even in difficult social and economic times. Arts improve individual well-being.

Why we need your support

Although Tubac Center of the Arts is located in a small village in southern Arizona, it has far reaching impact. Visitor come from across the globe to visit Tubac and the art center. Our programs provide a place for community and visitors to engage with the arts. Our national juried exhibits create opportunities for artists from across the country. Supporting Tubac Center of the Arts supports a place of well being and creates opportunities that benefit society.

About Tubac Center of the Arts

Tubac Center of the Arts celebrates over 50 years of leadership showcasing and nurturing the arts. Tubac Center of the Arts was established in 1963 by a group of local artists and community leaders as the Santa Cruz Valley Art Association, a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization. The current building was dedicated, mortgage-free, in 1972, with three galleries of exhibition space and a Gallery Gift Shop. The Board of Directors works with the staff and a large group of dedicated volunteers to provide programming to serve the growing needs of both the artists and the community.

Tubac Center of the Arts offers changing nationally juried art exhibitions, opportunities for artists to exhibit their work, art workshops, lectures, a performing arts series, special events, and a children's summer arts program.
