Tucson Bird Alliance inspires people to enjoy and protect birds through recreation, education, conservation, and restoration of the environment upon which we all depend.

Last year alone, Tucson Bird Alliance,

  • Led 308 field trips for over 4,300 people

  • Distributed 750 nestboxes for saguaro-dwelling birds

  • Documented 119 Elegant Trogons and 133 Elf Owls during our bird surveys

  • Attached nine satellite migration trackers to Purple Martins

  • Planted 6,800 saguaro seedlings to support a new generation 

  • Signed up 56 new members to our Habitat at Home program

  • Managed 90 water retention basins and three pocket parks for the City of Tucson

  • Treated nearly 1,000 acres of buffelgrass and over 600 acres of stinknet

  • Welcomed visitors from all 50 states and at least 26 countries to our Paton Center
