NAMI Treasure Valley

Mission:

NAMI Treasure Valley is dedicated to building a better future for our neighbors, friends, and family affected by mental and mood disorders. We advocate for effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, research, and recovery that improves the quality of life of everyone who is affected by mental illness. We envision a world where all persons affected by mental illness experience resiliency, recovery, and wellness. We also envision a world where mental illness is treated the same as a physical ailment by ending the stigmas associated with the various diagnoses of mental and mood disorders.

Programs:

All programs and support groups are completely free to participants. All costs for materials, printing, facilities, and instructor training are provided by NAMI Treasure Valley. Group leaders have completed 20+ hours formal training by NAMI National-certified instructors. Contact us for information on upcoming classes times, locations and/or to schedule a presentation.

Our Rich History:

NAMI Treasure Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization under State and Federal law. Originally established as REACH in 1985, we moved to affiliate ourselves with NAMI-Boise because of its record as the premier organization of its kind. in 2017-2018 we officially renamed our affiliate to reaffirm our role in the Treasure Valley. Our focus today is advocacy, support and education for mental illness. We want to end the stigmas surrounding mental health and mood disorders. In 2020 we will celebrate our 35th anniversary as a nonprofit in the Treasure Valley.
