School District U-46 (Transformation Schools)

Unfortunately, too many of the children at these schools are struggling readers and writers.  Many lack the confidence and desire to read and write in their free time.  Some of these children lack a positive role model who demonstrates a love of reading and writing. 

It is critical to find a way to instill a love of reading and writing in these children before it is too late.  One way to inspire these students is to bring in a distinguished author who devotes time and energy in presenting to low-income students.  Mr. Peter Catalanotto, prominent children’s author, will have a huge impact on the kids and make a difference.

Unfortunately, funding is very limited and we do not have sufficient funds to bring Mr. Catalanotto to our schools.  It is our hope, that with your generosity, he is able to speak, inspire, and transform the students in four of our schools.  Thank you for your donation and time!
