The Foundation's mission is to provide higher education opportunity and access to future technology leaders, digital citizens, thinkers and innovators.

Through this mission, the foundation strives to locate and deliberately nurture those individuals whose talents will make the world stronger through the creation of technology that is applied ethically to enhance society. The foundation believes that supporting these individuals through their college experience provides greater opportunity to shape their behavior into those of strong digital citizens whose actions will make technological interactions more human and humane, not just more automated. The University of Advancing Technology Foundation supports and fosters programs and scholarships that have a root culture in providing awareness, supporting education, facilitating training and proactively participating in the responsible human ethical use of technology.

The Foundation's vision, therefore, is that of a world in which technology is created not just to go faster but promote a better system as a whole.
