Utah Down Syndrome Foundation

A nonprofit organization

$8,554 raised by 48 donors

The mission of UDSF is to improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome (Ds). This includes helping them realize their social, educational and vocational potential, and encouraging and supporting their family members.

The UDSF "Ages and Stages" format for its programs and offerings provides help for parents with a prenatal diagnosis of Ds as well as infants and toddlers, preschoolers, elementary age children, teens, and adults. These programs include information on medical issues across a person's lifespan, sibling relations, behavior challenges, access to federal and community resources, educational options, and more...

Despite their cognitive delays and unique physical characteristics, people with Down syndrome can accomplish almost anything attainable by others in society. Their milestones are facilitated through the advocacy, education and inclusion programs of UDSF -- which have proven effective since 1977.
