Securing access to resources for the success of Black farmers in the Greater Sacramento, CA Region

California's future depends on food sovereignty. Black farmers play an important role in addressing food injustice. Ujamaa Farmer Collective is a 501(c)3 Black-led nonprofit organization committed to empowering historically underserved farmers in California. Our vision is a food system where BIPOC farmers have equitable opportunities to programs that secure land tenure, build generational security and equitable access to agricultural resources. We are achieving this through facilitating cooperative economics among participating farmers to share land, costs, skills, tools, equipment, housing, and infrastructure.

We are in need of funding to cover operational expenses required to expand the capacity and reach of our organization over the next 5 years. We also seek funding to build the necessary farming and processing infrastructure, as well as acquire equipment essential for the success of BIPOC farmers in California. With your contribution, we will provide the resources, training, affordable housing, and business education that BIPOC farmers need to succeed. By promoting equity, sustainability, and community, together we can close the racial land access gap in California agriculture. See(d) the future of farming by joining our capital campaign for food sovereignty today.
