United Methodist Social Ministries Inc

We are compasstionate about the needs of our community, responsive to community crises, and helpful to people in poverty. 

Founded in 1987 by a group of United Methodist clergy and Laypersons, the United Methodist Social Ministries provides for those with unmet need. Churches partner within the community to support the Weekend Emergency Assistance Program, which provides emergency food and other basic items to famililes on the weekend when other service providers are not available. We are a non-sectarian organization, serving all of the Clark County Community. 

 

We have added other programs and services including Fostering in Faith, which collaborates with other agencies to educate and train current or potenital foster famililes.
