UCP of Sacramento and Northern California is the leading provider of comprehensive services to children and adults with all developmental disabilities and their families. UCP works with 6,658 people a month in our eight-county area, empowering children and adults who-without support-would be isolated from community.
Each month, we serve children, adults and families living with more than 20 developmental disabilities in our eight-county area, which includes El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Shasta, Sutter, Butte, and Yolo counties. Our programs include an after-school center for children with autism, therapeutic horseback riding, adult day programs, independent living services, in-home respite care for families, and transportation.
UCP serves children and adults with more than 20 types of developmental disability, including autism 57%, intellectual disability 19%, Down syndrome, epilepsy and others 18% and cerebral palsy 9%. The money raised in our service area stays in our community. In fact, 90 cents of every dollar is reinvested back into programs and services for children, adults and their families.
