Improving Lives in Greater Cleveland

In Cleveland and throughout Cuyahoga County all people matter, and at United Way of Greater Cleveland we provide support to 128 local programs that benefit the health, education, financial stability and general well-being of those that need it most in the area.

As an independent nonprofit organization, we are driven by our dedicated volunteers. When it comes to making Cleveland a better place, we use the extensive research of more than 100 of our volunteers to decide which organizations or causes to support in the area’s battle with poverty. We invest in innovative solutions, passionate people, and ideas that work for our community. By collaborating within the public, private and nonprofit sectors, we can tackle systemic problems to create long-term change.

Serving 26 counties and covering 3.5 million people in Ohio, the United Way 2-1-1 Help Center provides free and confidential 24-hour access to a compassionate professional who will review your options for help, develop a plan, and act as your advocate if you are faced with barriers to service.
