United Way of Monroe County is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds to help several non-profit agencies provide many valued services and support programs to serve local citizens, families, schools and various groups with special needs or challenges. Under 5 percent of the United Wayā€™s budget goes to administrative and campaign expenses, so every charitable gift we receive is efficiently and effectively used as it should be to impact others and build a stronger community for all.

Our goal for this year is $170,000. Monroe County has been hard hit in the area of job losses within in the last 4 years. We are working hard to reach this goal, and we would appreciate your support. Donations of any amount are welcome and most appreciated!

Agencies being sponsored for 2012 are:  Monroe County Heritage Museums, Monroe County Extension 4-H Clubs, Monroe County American Red Cross, Monroeville Area YMCA, Monroe Fire & Rescue, Monroe County Library, Monroe Activitiy & Training Center, Monroe County DHR, Our Place Family Center, Girls Scouts of Southern Alabama, Monroe County Special Education Services, Monroe Association of Volunteer Fire Departments, SAV-A-LIFE of Monroe County, Big Dreamers, Monroe County RSVP, South Alabama Cares, HIPPY, and Monroe Health Foundation.

Thank you for your support!!!
