United Way fights for the education and financial stability of every person in our community. 

We do this through educational programs for children, building financial strength and skills for adults, our new Mission United initiative, volunteer activation and help in a crisis. 

Our early literacy programs ensure that children are surpassing key readiness and early grade reading benchmarks because we know that under-educated children in poverty are nearly three times more likely to drop out of school, struggle financially and repeat the cycle of generational poverty. We continue our educational focus with our youth success programs that ensure children are graduating from high school with the skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education or vocational training. 

Our financial stability programs help adults achieve long-term financial stability by developing the skills and opportunities to obtain and sustain employment. 

Mission United provides a network of connected services for military veterans and their families, helping them successfully transition from military to civilian life. 

United Way HandsOn Suncoast is the Suncoast region's premier platform for volunteering and community service. We help build a strong, caring community by mobilizing individual and corporate volunteers to engage in meaningful service projects across the region. 

Finally, we provide a network of services to help individuals/families move past immediate need to a more stable future. Programs include health, nutrition/food assistance, shelter and safety interventions.

We take on the toughest challenges as we focus on improving lives and strengthening our community. We continue to work with community partners, corporations and individuals to seek out new collaborations and new ways of serving people to maximize the return on funds invested with us and to have greater impact on the social issues we believe to be most critical to address.
