Universal Empowerment Center for Women Children and Families Inc.

Universal Empowerment Center for Women, Children, and Families (UEC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization. UEC teaches individuals and families how to live crime free, productive, healthy and fulfilled lives in the metropolitan Detroit Area. UEC  turns shame into acceptance by showing those whom have lost their way, a new direction.  UEC primary programs are focused around domestic violence, youth mentoring, re-entry support for felons, and supporting minors of incarcerated parents. UEC services include: youth prevention, individual and group counseling, parenting classes, parental support groups, linking and referral, parent support groups, case management, educational support and advocacy, crisis intervention, prevention and early intervention, supportive coordination, crisis intervention, advocacy and adult tutorial services. UEC’s vision is to be the leader in Human Services for the metropolitan Detroit Area.

UEC empowers individuals and families to reach their full potential and to become viable citizen in their community. UEC does the work that everyone else feels is hopeless. UEC believes in fresh starts and they work diligently to ensure that the individuals and families that they serve are given an opportunity to make a positive difference in their community.
