University Area Cdc

A nonprofit organization

$6,050 raised by 37 donors

The UACDC, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public/private partnership whose mission is children and family development, crime prevention and commerce growth. Its primary focus is the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida.

During Covid-19 pandemic, University Area CDC has made many efforts to keep our staff, community members & patrons healthy and safe. Some were difficult decisions, including the temporary closure of University Area CDC properties and programming locations. That meant a subsequent temporary disruption in some of our programs & services, as well as the funding that accompanies them.  We're striving to take smart, creative measures during this time, including:

  1. Holding online classes for programs that are able
  2. Having staff work remotely to assist our current client base
  3. Connecting community members with resources and information to help ease the ripple effects of COVID-19
  4. Conducting a deep cleaning of all University Area CDC facilities and park sites

However, we need your help! These adaptations have caused a strain on our operational budget. During this unprecedented time in our organization's history, please consider making an "operational support" contribution to the University Area CDC. Your donation will go towards supporting the many programs, instructors, and support staff that positively enrich so many families and lives in the University/Uptown District. We understand that we are not in this alone, but together we can go much further.
