Mission

Urban Alliance empowers under-resourced youth to aspire, work, and succeed through paid internships, formal training, and mentoring.

Project

Your support TODAY will help us meet our goal of $12,500, the cost of  a year-long paid internship for one senior at TC Williams High School in Alexandria. Your gift will ensure that our Alexandria program is delivered successfully and, more importantly, that an additonal high school senior is provided an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, earn money for college, and transition there smoothly.

Organizational Background

Created in 1996, Urban Alliance is the only year long employment program for under-resourced high school seniors in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, and Alexandria/Arlington offering a unique five component model. Our goal is to give youth access to professional growth and experiences. The program prepares students for a life of work and self-sufficiency through paid internships, formal training, mentoring, and case management. Since inception, Urban Alliance has served more than 1,500 youth and worked with more than 100 businesses in its High School Internship Program.
