A 501c3 charitable organization

Our History

The Urban Financial Services Coalition Foundation, Inc. (UFSC Foundation) was established in 1999 to support the educational and community outreach initiatives of the Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC). As the primary funding source of higher education scholarships and community grants provided by UFSC chapters across the country, the UFSC Foundation champions diversity at every level of the financial services industry while promoting community development and economic empowerment for all segments of our population.

UFSC Foundation Funded Programs

The UFSC Foundation supports the educational and community outreach initiatives of the Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC). Through donations from the organization and individual partners, we are able to fund programs carried out by UFSC national and chapter leaders across the country that support financial education, and promote personal professional development. Our goals are to lift the financial well-being of our communities and to increase the pipeline of minorities pursuing careers in the financial services sector.

UFSC Foundation Funded Programs

• MARK I business plan and Oratorical competitions. One-week summer is intensive for students pursuing undergraduate studies toward a career in financial services.

• Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students interested in financial services careers.

• Community outreach programs. Financial education, credit counseling, first-time home-buying seminars, home maintenance counseling, and financial planning.

• Capital Formation and Technical Assistance. Education programs that help minority entrepreneurs initiate, enhance and expand business opportunities.

• Career Development. Professional education, mentoring, and sponsorship programs to support the success and advancement of minority professionals in the financial services industry. Additional information about UFSC, local chapters, and these programs can be found at www.ufscnet.org.
