Donating to U.S.VETS - Las Vegas through Nevada’s Big Give 2017 will go directly towards supporting programs provided to veterans at U.S.VETS. The contributions we are asking for are vital in aiding us to implement our mission.

U.S.VETS Mission:  The successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development, and comprehensive support.

U.S.VETS is the largest non-profit organization of its kind, providing an array of support services to veterans. In Las Vegas, there are three locations operating more than 300 beds of transitional and permanent housing for veterans.

Our Outreach team is often found on the streets talking to the homeless, or in deserts, parks, encampments or the tunnels that run underneath the Strip's ritziest casinos where many veterans are living.  Each year, the Outreach team connects hundreds of veterans to services, including helping them to enter one of our organization’s programs:

Veterans in Progress Program: 118-bed Transitional Housing program providing comprehensive services and round-the-clock residential assistance

Permanent Housing Program: 31-unit Supportive Housing program for veterans with disabilities, including over 40 beds for veterans with families

Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program: Rapid Re-housing and Homeless Prevention for veterans with families serving 480 households annually

Transition in Place Program: 34 units of scattered site Transitional Housing leading to Permanent Housing

Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program: Employment assistance, education, and training helping over 110 veterans return to the workforce each year
