UAA's mission is to foster the arts in all forms in order to create an aware, empowered and connected community. The Connect program exemplifies this!

Since 2010, Utah Arts Alliance’s Connect program has provided a community platform for artists to exhibit their work and begin building their careers.

We hope to raise $5,000 for the Connect Program. 

Connect is a free program that invites all artists (especially emerging artists) to showcase original work. Anyone endeavoring to make a career in the arts knows just how pivotal and rare an opportunity something like this is. Through this program artists are provided a place to expand their work, meet people in similar circumstances, and feel a part of a welcoming community where it's OKAY to make mistakes.

$5,000 goes a long way - it means FREE exhibition space AND audience for 250 artists. A single artist trying to replicate this experience from the ground up would have to pay over $8,000 a year. But we’ve leveraged our resources to create shared opportunities for artists who wish to participate. Because of all this, your $10 donation is worth over $100.

The Connect program also grants $4000 to our artists at our annual gala. We provide this fiscal support to show our artists that we value their contribution to the community and culture.

We believe that creativity can change the world. Because of this, we do everything in our power to create opportunities for people to be creative. Connect opens the door to make this happen!

The UAA provides the infrastructure that enables people from all walks of life, especially those who lack financial resources, to pursue their creative dreams and be a part of the arts. We operate five venues ( The SLC ARTS HUB, The Art Garden Counterpoint Studios, The Urban Arts Gallery, and the Art Factory) that provide unique and critical services for artists and unmatched opportunities that allow the public to experience arts and culture.  

The UAA also produces the Urban Arts Festival which is the largest free community art event in Utah.

UAA facilities and programs offer such a variety of activities that there is something of interest for almost everyone in the City and beyond. More than 150,000 people annually attend programs, events and classes facilitated by UAA and our partners.
