Remember your first ride on a bicycle? That feeling of freedom. The wind in your hair. 

Help us give that same feeling to kids all across Utah. 

In September 2016, we launched our Youth Bicycle Education and Safety Training (BEST) Program to get kids all across Utah excited about bicycling. Here is one of hundreds of stories we have heard from students and their parents: 

"Mitch was so anxious about the week because he couldn't ride a bike. We live on a huge hill and are rarely home so when he brought home the information about Bike Utah, he was in a bit of a panic. I am thoroughly impressed at the patience and dedication of the Bike Utah people. Not only did Mitch learn to ride, but he did the after school class. Several times a day he asks about riding a bike after school, plotting ways to ride his bike to school (we live over 20 miles away), riding on short-day Friday, and asking constantly for time to go ride. He LOVES it!

I couldn't beg him to even try before. It was amazing and, quite honestly, life changing. Now he makes me load a bike in the car almost every time we get in. We hate that it's winter and too dark to ride much, but honestly we are so very grateful to you!  He loves showing off his new knowledge and skills."   - Shannon Wilson (Mitch's Mom)

In just the first six months, more than 1,500 students have participated in the program. Students are showing a 77% increase in their bicycle safety knowledge. Parents are reporting a 63% increase in student interest in bicycling or walking to school
