$100 raised by 3 donors

The United Way of Eastern Utah has been located in Price for 31 years, serving Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan, Duchesne, Uintah and Daggett counties. This includes over 25,850 square miles with a population of 108,604 and 37 municipalities.   In today’s challenging economic climate our work is more important than ever.

United Way of Eastern Utah’s mission is to improve lives in Eastern Utah by mobilizing the caring power of our community.  Our focus is education, income and heath. We are working 1.To see that every child enters school ready to learn and finish high school prepared to succeed in college, work and life. 2. Creating support for families and individuals to have enough income to provide stability and ensure that our community’s most basic needs are met. 3. We are working to ensure the promotion of health and safety as well as access to affordable health care for all individuals in the community.   Our goal is to create measurable and sustainable changes that meet current and emerging needs within the community.

Many of our communities have an increased need for services while noting a decrease in annual giving as sited in a recent Associated Press article stating donations across the United States are realizing the worst decline in twenty years.  The funds which are raised locally stay local; our administrative and overhead expenditures are met by our Cornerstone Partners.  “Cornerstone Partnership’s”, which include businesses and individuals, are imperative to the foundation of your local United Way’s operation. Our involvement this year included several community impact projects that fall under our Cornerstone Partners. We are locally operated with 14 local members who serve as our Board of Directors. 98% of our funding is raised locally so when they say every little bit counts it truly does. Your support with programs and services like those listed below has not only made a difference in thousands of lives but has created an opportunity for a better life.
