Van Community Ministries

The purpose of Van Community Ministries is to coordinate the resources of a caring community in order to assist in meeting the basic needs of the low income population of Van ISD.

Van Community Ministries currently offers food service twice a month through our Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Additionally we have a Benevolence program for rental assistance, helping with utilities, prescription drug payments, and vouchers for gasoline. We support the children from low income families through our Backpack Program to supplement their meals on weekends when food may not be available. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays Van Community Ministries assists the families in need with special food baskets, a community Thanksgiving lunch and Angel Tree food baskets to families selected by Van ISD.
