Valley Charities helps families and individuals in the Mat Su Valley make ends meet every single day. 

A single mother had her hours reduced at work. As a result she had trouble maintaining payments for all housing related expenses. Unfortunately, her electricity was disconnected after several months of tough choices that excluded paying this expense. Valley Charities teamed up with a church, family and friends to help turn the families electricity back on. She is currently working full-time and used her PFD to fix a faulty water heater that was determined to be the reason behind such large electricity bills.
