Beyond the Basics: Meeting Extraordinary Needs

Every child deserves safety, dignity, and care. At Vault, we provide the essentials to children experiencing foster care—beds, clothing, car seats, diapers, shoes. But sometimes, the needs go far beyond the basics.

That’s when we get calls like:

“We need a car seat with a harness for a 9-year-old with autism—he’s too big for what’s available.”

“Do you have a stroller designed for a child with mobility challenges?”

“This little one can only calm down with a weighted blanket—can you help?”

These aren’t items we keep in stock. But they are moments when a child’s safety, comfort, or sense of belonging is on the line.

This year, we are focusing our Big Give fundraising on "Beyond the Basics" so that no request goes unanswered. With your support, we can step in quickly and provide these extraordinary items—helping caregivers focus on loving and stabilizing the children in their care.
