Vegas Vanguard Inc

Vegas Vanguard, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that offers students 12-22 years old with the opportunity to perform in a highly competitive indoor percussion ensemble. The ensemble combines aspects of marching band (instruments, drill, music) and live theater (props, costumes, acting, story line). Each member strives to master the necessary skills for success in the marching percussion activity through teamwork, dedication, and hard work. While at the same time, learning the importance of becoming responsible young adults and future educators. Each season the students learn a 5-6 minute customized production that help tell a story using only percussion instruments. After around 500 hours of practice, they compete against other groups from all around the world in various competitions in California and Ohio.

Vegas Vanguard was founded in 2004 as “Vegas Vanguard Percussion Theater”, competing in the Winter Guard International Circuit (www.wgi.org) and Southern California Percussion Alliance (www.sc-pa.org); the group is a 3-time medalist at WGI World Championships in the PIA Class (2011, 2012, 2013), and 4-time medalist at SC-PA Championships in the PIA Class (2006, 2007, 2009, 2010).
