Founded in 1972, the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is a nonprofit environmental education organization based in Quechee, Vermont. VINS pursues its mission through education, research, and avian wildlife rehabilitation. We deliver locally relevant environmental education programs, combining environmental science concepts with hands-on exploration to empower individuals to care for local natural ecosystems.

The VINS Nature Center in Quechee is the hub of our operations, an educational resource for the Vermont and New Hampshire community, and a destination for tourists to the region. The 47-acre campus, adjacent to Quechee Gorge State Park, features state-of-the-art raptor enclosures, exhibit spaces, classrooms, interpretive nature trails, and our Wild Bird Hospital.
