VetLinks.org's mission is to educate and empower veterans and their families by linking them to services, support, and activities in order to enrich their quality of life. Veterans and their families are assisted in linking locations of services, support, organizations, events, and programs. VetLinks.org will walk veterans through the process of submitting paperwork to the VA, connecting with nationally recognized veteran advocacy groups, finding behavioral health services, establishing a primary care doctor, and other steps in transitioning out of active duty. Most importantly, VetLinks.org will become a nationwide resource for veterans of every service using mapping services to indicate proximity, hours, and type of service available to veterans.

As U.S. Army Major Brian Kavanagh transitioned out of active duty service,  he became frustrated with the lack of clarity and resources available for finding veterans' services in his local area. He and his wife Jessica searched for an online source to guide them in researching veterans programs and services. They wanted to find a website allowing them to compare programs, find spouse resources, research PTSD services, and alert them to veterans events in their area. After realizing the website they needed did not exist, Brian and Jessica conceptualized VetLinks.org.

 Brian's Message: Integrity and Identity

This nation promised to take care of those who volunteered to protect us when we gave the call. They fulfilled their promise and it is time this nation fulfills ours. Leaders take care of Soldiers, Sailors, and Airman. The same mantra should be used when taking care of Veterans. Show our veterans the same support they were given while serving as Soldiers, Sailors, and Airman on active duty. Take the time to discover what the veteran needs and give it to him or her.

Vetlinks.org knows what the veteran needs because Vetlinks.org was built by veterans. We believe fully in and celebrate the innate ability of our Veterans and First Responders to tap back into their truest identities, identities that may have been lost and/or forgotten on the field of battle, be that battlefield in some distant country or the battlefields of our country’s cities, towns, and local communities.
