Victor Valley Animal Protective League

 

We are asking Victor Valley residents to rally together and donate to Victor Valley Animal Protective League Humane Society to help us raise $40,000 for a Dogs on the Go mobile adoption unit, so we can take our animals to all areas of the High Desert to find their forever homes.

             Off-site adoptions are challenging logistically.  Portable crates are loaded into the shelter’s van to accommodate a variety of sizes and number of animals.  The animals and supplies are then loaded into the van for the trip to the off-site adoption locations.  The time consuming and cumbersome process is then repeated to unload and set up at the site.  The venue is usually outdoors so weather is also a consideration for our animals.

 

            A mobile unit with 15-20 permanent cages will dramatically change things for the animals.  People will walk into the air conditioned/heated vehicle and view our adorable adoptable animals.  The shelter will have the ability to take our animals to a variety of locations, as well as the capacity to hold off-site vaccine and microchip clinics.  In a disaster, the vehicle can also be used to evacuate and transport animals.

 

            Whatever money you donate through the Give BIG campaign, a committed donor will match dollar for dollar.  So $10 becomes $20, and $50 becomes $100, and so on.  This is a great way to make a HUGE impact with your donation dollars.
