Victor Valley Community Services Council

The Victor Valley Community Services Council has been helping the High Desert for over 62 years providing solutions to the service needs of the community since 1956.  Our main focus is on the safety and well being of our senior citizens who are on a fixed income and have the greatest need for assistance. 

With our FREE Home Repair program we provide solutions to household issues such as plumbing, fire safety issues, heating and air deficiencies, tripping hazards and other minor repairs of households which could cause harm if not corrected. 

Quite often seniors living alone are too frail to do even something as basic as changing the batteries in a smoke detector or changing a light bulb.  Even a small task as that can cause harm to an 80 year old who is unsteady climbing a ladder. 

Larger issues such as installation of wheelchair ramps for access and weed abatement are also services we will provide free of charge. 

Our Transportation program provides seniors who have no vehicle or are unsafe to drive, access to doctor appointments, shopping, banking and other needs.  With our newly donated bus we are able to help those who are wheelchair bound also get fom door to door.

Our Veterinary Assistance program helps seniors keep their beloved pet companions healthy by paying up to $200 per year directly to a veterinarian for services such as medicine, x rays, visits, testing and procedures.

Utilizing volunteers much of the time we are able to take our minimum budget and thousands of services to seniors each year free of charge.
