Keep Villa International thriving during the COVID-19 pandemic! Villa is currently hosting 24  international doctors and researchers from 15 countries who continue to work and train at CDC and Emory. Several are working on COVID-19 research.  Your donations will help support Villa during this time when we have few new reservations and many of those staying need financial assistance. Villa International Atlanta is a "home away from home" for international guests who study at the CDC, Emory's Rollins School of Public Health and its hospitals, Georgia Tech, and other Atlanta institutions. Villa is a 33-room guest house, an affordable and warm place where researchers, doctors, and scholars can feel comfortable and meet others in the public health field. 

Over the past 47 years, Villa has hosted over 27,000 guests from 179 countries. Our facility is within easy walking distance of the CDC, Rollins, and metro Atlanta by way of MARTA. Villa offers simple but pleasant accommodations, affording safety and privacy, while encouraging community fellowship and cultural exchange within an environment of mutual respect.

 Villa’s guests are dedicated to their studies, research, internships or fellowships, and their lives are busy and focused. In the evenings, guests can be found studying in Villa’s library or cooking in the communal kitchen, playing ping-pong, or involved in a lively philosophical debate. Guests spend leisure time together, exploring Georgia, sharing their work, making friends, and transcending geopolitical and religious borders. Lasting friendships are formed and global understanding takes root at community potluck suppers, cookouts, and holiday activities. Over 100 volunteers add to the Villa experience as they provide rides to grocery stores and ethnic markets, help with fundraising, or serve on our Board of Directors or Advisory Board. As we work and play together, the world becomes smaller, more intimate, more aware, and more caring.
