For SVGives, take the LIVING ON LESS Challenge!

Living on Less is an engagement and fundraising campaign run by Village Enterprise to increase awareness and raise funds to end global extreme poverty through entrepreneurship and innovation.

To participate, challenge yourself to live on $1.90 a day for food and drink! 

How can I be involved? It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Take the Living on Less Challenge and live on $1.90 a day for food and drink for 5 days and donate the difference in what you would have spent.
2. Create your own personal fundraising page, pledge your commitment, and share your story through Razoo!
3. Invite your family, friends, colleagues, and networks to support you by sharing the video! Use #LivingOnLess

For maximum impact and to match a generous $5,000 gift from the Bowles Family, we especially encourage donations on Tuesday, May 3 during Silicon Valley Gives sponsored by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. 

How does it work?
Over the course of May 2-6th, pledge to live on $1.90 per day for food and drink, which translates to $9.50 for all 5 days.

Here are some guidelines:

• You can’t count donated food, the food in your pantry, or ½ of a friend’s leftover sandwich, unless you include it into the total amount for the 5 days.
• 
  
• Water is free but be aware that for most people in the world, it is not.
• 
  
• Consider mobilizing your colleagues and ‘Living on Less’ together! Prepare a meal for the office within the budget of Living on Less and ask them to donate what they would have spent on lunch.
