Our PTA is working to raise funds in support of Alexandria City Public Schools' (ACPS) students who are attending the Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School. We have one goal in mind, which is to make every child's potential a reality.
Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School PTA serves a community full of rich cultures on the West End of Alexandria, VA. Our school was one of the first STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) Elementary Schools in Alexandria City when it opened its doors in September 2018. Close to 95% of our students receive free or reduced lunch which makes us a Title 1 school.
The money we raise through Giving Tuesday will be for general PTA funds to support students, teachers, and families as we look forward to the school year. These funds allow the PTA to reimburse teachers for supplies they purchase for their classrooms, family events, enrichment programs, and more.
