We saw in our own families and all around us the immense childlike curiosity that the elderly have towards new ideas and even new skills. Technology simply changed the world around all of us and left many bewildered.

Disruption is a popular term in the Silicon Valley but sometimes it may be nice to have a support system that can smooth disruptions over.

We were constantly plied with questions about computers, smartphones and even social media and spent many hours addressing them. We were very impressed and somewhat surprised when my wife’s grand mother started using an iPad in India and could Skype and Facetime. Slowly we began doing it for friends and extended family.

I found my parents actually enjoyed themselves in the flagship Apple Store in downtown Palo Alto in one of their visits and for the first time were not shy or afraid to interact with various gadgets, interfaces and devices around them.

The reality ofcourse was that we were not with them or could not be as is the circle of life. That made founder Yash Jadeja working in the Senior Care industry in the San Francisco Bay area since many years think that "Elder Care" or even “Senior Care” did not always have to be about hospitals and doctors. They can be as motivated as the youth or much more motivated sometimes.

Why not try and give them something that engages them and who knows even empowers them.

Having spent long years growing up with my own grandmother,   the Queen Mother of a royal family in Western India, I thought it would be cool to connect youth to older adults where both may actually learn from each other and get to know each other better.

I have always strongly felt the need to assimilate cultures combining respect for heritage as well as a nurturing family environment in the East with newer innovations in the West.

As a late immigrant to the United States this is our way of giving back to the community that gave us the opportunity to be here. In essence we are connecting the old with the new, the past with the future, the East with the West by building that bridge and hope you will join us in our efforts
