Beirut and Beyond - Visions Made Viable

In 2026, Beirut and Beyond’s total focus is on Lebanon and our Palestinian partners.   

Lebanon faces a difficult situation: economic collapse, ongoing Israeli attacks, and rebuilding efforts after the 2024 war. Lebanon’s government is advancing a disarmament plan for Palestinian camps and Lebanese groups, leading to instability.  

Palestinian partners are delivering crucial services to the camps and the entire nation of Lebanon. Palestinian Civil Defense members keep handling camp emergencies and attacks in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Ahlam Lajea is working to make two recycling centers self-sustaining. Simsim Kitchen connects cultures through cooking classes and a cookbook featuring Lebanese diversity.
