Visual Art Institute

Founded in 1978, the Visual Art Institute is Utah's oldest nonprofit after school art program.

Since the founding of the institute, thousands of youth have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of local working artists in the community in a variety of media. 

Our focus is on offering quality instruction in the visual arts. By doing so, it is our hope that students will discover their own artistic voices and will have other areas of their lives enhanced.  We have seen many of our teens gain confidence as they progress through our program and received recognition and awards in the community. Students who want to draw and paint find VAI a welcoming and supportive place to create. 

Additionally, the Visual Art Institute (VAI) works with other organizations and nonprofits in the area to provide arts instruction and programming for the community, from children to adults. 

We also have a free educational gallery to exhibit the works of local and national artists.
