In 2018, we remain committed to stirring up new stories, moves, and grooves in Los Angeles and beyond. Samba in the Streets, Viver Brasil's, free community engagement program, will tour to Birmingham and Selma, Alabama - the birthplaces of the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S. We've continued to transmit engaging expressions of resistance and joy as it merges Bahia's Bloco Afro movement roots in Afro-Brazilian ancestral and contemporary histories with it's American Civil Rights Movement inspirations. For those of your in Alabama, join us from February 18 - March 2, 2018, in Birmingham and March 3 - 6, 2018 in Selma for the 52 Annual Selma Bridge Crossing.

Twenty years of exuberant dance, strong cultural production, and life-changing experiences have taught us one thing: ART MAKES THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. We are so committed to this, we just can't sit still. Right now, we are engaging new audiences at Disney California Adventure Park’s ¡Viva Navidad! for the fifth year. VIVER BRASIL, founded in 1997 by Linda Yudin and Luiz Badaró, is deeply rooted in the African heritage of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and embodies the beautiful and mythic stories of Afro-Brazilian culture.
