Voices of American HERstory

A nonprofit organization

Our troupe of talented reenactors bring women's history to life.

Voices of American HERstory (VOAH) is a new educational arts initiative designed to educate students of all ages about the importance of women's history. The multi-layered project  incorporates live and virtual performances, interactive discussion, video, and written materials to showcase the pivotal events leading up to the passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote.

Our original, signature productions include:

--"Toward Women's Equality -From Rotten Eggs to Respect" featuring a talk show host who brings forward time traveling guests Susan B. Anthony, Ida B. Wells,  and Anti-Suffragist Josephine Pearson.

--"Pioneers of 19th Century Women's Rights"- featuring actual speeches from Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, and Susan B. Anthony.

-- "Susan B. and Me" - an interview with Miss Anthony, reflecting on her 50 year career as a reformer and icon of the early women's rights movement.

All live performances include question and answer time with these trail blazing women.

VOAH will also shine a light on women accomplishing amazing things today.
