Vote.org (formerly Long Distance Voter) began with $5000 and a small team of volunteers back in 2008. We had 500,000 visitors within our first six months, and decided to just keep going.  

We became Vote.org on April 1, 2016. (Not a joke! That was our actual launch date).

Vote.org is one of the most visited voting sites on the internet, and we couldn't have done it without your support.

2016 highlights:

• 6.5 million visitors
• 660,000+ registered voters
• 800,000+ absentee voters
• 1.2 miillion people checked their registration status
• 20 million reminder text messages sent
• 10 million reminder emails sent
• 2 full time staff people :)
