Westmoreland County Parks & Recreation Citizens Advisory Board

A nonprofit organization

The citizen's advisory board intends to work to enhance and assure the quality of life of Westmoreland County residents and those who travel into the county by providing a diversity of safe, accessible, culturally based, family oriented, well maintained and protected, economically responsible and strategically located park and recreation resources.

We maintain and oversee ten parks and five trails in Westmoreland County that are open to the public at no charge. Westmoreland County's ten parks are: Cedar Creek Park in Rostraver Township; Mammoth Park, Chestnut Ridge Park and Bridgeport Dam Park in Mount Pleasant Township; Northmoreland Park in Allegheny Township; Twin Lakes Park in Unity and Hempfield townships; Ann Rudd Saxman Nature Park and Historic Hanna's Town in Hempfield Township; Sewickley Creek Wetlands in New Stanton Borough; and Loyalhanna Gorge Recreation Area in Derry and Ligonier townships.
