Wakefield Food Pantry

The Wakefield Food Pantry (located at the Americal Civic Center, 467 Main Street, Wakefield, MA) is a community-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger and alleviating food insecurity in Wakefield. Operating like a small grocery store, our pantry allows guests to freely choose from a wide selection of fresh produce, meat, dairy, non-perishable items, and essential household necessities.

In addition to our main pantry, we offer several specialized programs to meet the diverse needs of our neighbors:

• Senior Supplies Program: Seniors represent 20% of the households we serve. We host mobile markets at two local senior housing facilities and maintain an emergency "pantry closet" at the Senior Center.

• Kids First & School Partnerships: With children making up 29% of our households, we provide extra food throughout the summer, maintain a fully stocked pantry at the middle school, and supply snack bins for after-school programs.

• Veterans Program: Veterans account for 7% of our guests. We supply pre-packaged bags of non-perishable staples, toiletries, and household goods to supplement the town’s monthly distribution.

• Little Free Pantries: A vital community resource for the past two years, our eight locations across town provide residents with 24/7, judgment-free access to food.
