St Louis Waldorf Association (dba The Waldorf School of St. Louis)

A nonprofit organization

The recent global pandemic has left parents reevaluating how their children are to be best educated. Many families are looking for "new" solutions, seeking classrooms that don't focus on standardized testing, the push for faster academic outcomes, or large class sizes. The Waldorf School of St. Louis, as part of a 100+ year old movement, focuses on all three aspects of the child: heart and hands as well as the head. Our students get more time outside, develop longer-term relationships with teachers and peers in small classes, and experience a low-tech learning environment. These aren't "new" ideas, or the latest educational fad, but have clear research and long-standing experience to validate how students achieve and grow. And while Waldorf Education enjoys a long history and tradition, it remains even more fresh and relevant today than ever before.

The parents and children at The Waldorf School of St Louis are able to experience a curriculum that transports them into the story where they can be and do only the things of a wild imagination. Every day they walk into a classroom that transports them around the world to learn of people in another time or far off places, so that someday they will know how to solve problems that may reach around the globe. As they grow in Waldorf education, they learn to fearlessly meet their dragons with love and light. They learn to foster a lifelong joy of learning, intellectual curiosity, and creativity to become free human beings who make a difference in the world.
