Warriors for Healing (W4H)

The mission of Warriors for Healing (W4H) is to provide free yoga classes and resources to service members, veterans, their families and caregivers. W4H empowers veterans and service members suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to redevelop their mind/body connection, find calm and ease the symptoms of combat stress. W4H works with studios and certified yoga teachers to tailor their skills and teach more effectively in a military/veteran environment. 

A teacher that recently completed W4H training for yoga classes gave a lecture and yoga class to a group of college student veterans. After the class she was approached by one of the veterans and thanked for making him feel like she understood how he felt. This is a huge compliment to the training and our focus on helping yoga teachers tailor their skills and feel confident teaching in this environment. 

Our focus is to help bring veterans back to themselves through a mindfulness practice.
