Wasatch Forensic Nurses is a nonprofit organization 501 (c)(3), created in 2001 to provide adolescent and adult victims of sexual violence with professional and compassionate health care, as well as timely and thorough collection of forensic evidence immediately following sexual assault or rape.
The mission of Wasatch Forensic Nurses is to provide compassionate care and professional timely collection of forensic medical evidence as part of a multidisciplinary team.
In 2016 our team of nurses provided 498 free examinations to victims of sexual assault in the Salt Lake Valley alone.
We are currently expanding our services to Utah County. We will be aiding victims of sexual assault from Salt Lake City south to Payson starting May 2017. Our team will be doubled in size. We are in need of additional funding to provide our new larger team with the equipment necessary.
Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of $50, 000 to acquire Nurse Sexual Assault Supply Kits, Cameras, Monopods, Tablets for Electric Medical Charting, and help in operating costs for 2017.
