Washington DC Chums

For more than 50 years, the Washington DC Chapter of Chums, Incorporated has awarded scholarships to low and moderate-income students graduating from Washington, DC public schools. We are seeking your support to help us continue to empower students for success by providing financial support as they work hard to attend college. Your donations allow us to provide annual scholarships to deserving students and support other educational projects that enrich the lives of children in our community. 

With a network of 38 chapters and over 700 members in 22 states and the District of Columbia, Chums, Incorporated is a national non-profit that provides opportunities for women to meet, to encourage a spirit of helpfulness, and to use their many talents in service to the community following our national theme “Listen to the children…enrich their lives.” 

Although the past four years have been particularly challenging due to the pandemic, Chums, Incorporated has continued to strive to meet our mission to enrich the lives of children.  In 2023, Chums, Incorporated chapters' scholars said:

• "This scholarship is an absolute answer to prayers, as life does not always go as we plan. I believe the Lord used your organization to bless me in a time of need. I will forever be grateful for this gift, and I cannot thank you enough for that."
